Kochma a ap kontinye
Atik saa parèt ye, lan jounal dominiken.
Mwa prochen, Preval pwal lan peyi saa.
Ki jan nou ka voye mesaj e fè presyon pou gouvenman ayisyen an mande dominiken de ki prevyen?
Lè Preval tounen, se pou l di ki sa Dominiken yo reponn li e kisa lap fè.
Genyen yon konvansyon intènasyonal ki mande tout peyi respekte dwa refijye e pwoteje yo.
Piga moun vin di sou sit la ke si yo an Dominikani e yo pa tounen lakay yo, Dominiken gen dwa abize yo.
E noumem ka p byen mennen, eske nou ka mare pakèt nou, demen, pou n tounen lakay nou?

Santo Domingo. – Some 2,000 members of the Committee of Recognized Refugees and Applicants of Refuge United for our Rights demanded a stop to the alleged violence committed against them in Dominican Republic.
Blot Jean Ederme, president of the organization called on the United Nations High Commissioner for the Rights of Refugees and the Dominican Government to respect the agreements established in the Refugees Statutes Convention, the 1967 and 1969 Protocol on Human rights, as well as the Conception and Territorial Asylum.
In a press conference held in the Bonó Center, Ederme said for over 8 years they’ve been denouncing that they don’t have legal documents and the Government refuses to renew them, arguing the files were lost, although the time anticipated for that proceeding is from 30 to 90 days. "When not counting on a legal residence, our children have not been able to obtain birth certificates, we do not know if it’s because they are children of refugees or if it’s because we are Haitian. Those who were born here are refused the nationality."
He said anti Haitian racism is very marked. "The government doesn’t offer them security and, sometimes, many have been prisoners, also the Immigration Agency deports them, ignoring their rights. We demand that the United Nations designate an honest and human team to end the abuses by the officials against the Haitians.
Ederme said the life of a "slave" was worthier than those of them here. "To a slave, his master obligatorily gives them a bed or bread, but to us no. The Haitian refugees, if it weren’t for the Jesuit Service, our children would’ve died from different causes: for hunger or health; many sleep underneath bridges."
He said they are living by the grace of God and cannot return to Haiti.
