AYITI VIVAN 2011 (Haïti est vivant!)
Solidarité réelle! Un concert pour Haïti soutient le partenariat avec dignité
OTTAWA - Bâtir la solidarité avec le peuple d'Haïti est l'objectif d'un concert-bénéfice qui se tient à Ottawa ce samedi soir.
Participeront à l’événement «Ayiti Vivan 2011» , des personnalités venant de Montréal dont le grand poète et conteur haïtien Jean-Claude Martineau (Koralen), des artistes de la mouvance hip hop progressiste Vox Sambou de Nomadic Massive et EMRICAL, et l'animatrice vedette Maguy Métellus qui rejoindront sur scène une superbe collection de talents d’Ottawa dont: Christophe Elie, Ferline Regis,Pazapa Dance School et Tanbou Lakay.

OÙ: Centre Bronson, 211 avenue Bronson, Ottawa
L’intégralité des profits ira à AKASAN, une organisation enregistrée au Canada, dirigée par les Haïtiens, pour les Haïtiens, qui mobilise des ressources pour appuyer des initiatives de développement endogènes dans leur pays natal.
Le billet d’entrée de $10 est disponible à divers points de vente à Ottawa-Gatineau.

La campagne de financement Ayiti Vivan de 2010 permit de couvrir les frais de transport et de livraison de biens en Haïti, dont un containeur de 20” rempli de fauteuils roulants et autres équipements de réhabilitation collectés par Humanitarian Mobility International pour l’Hôpital Ste-Croix de Léogane, Haiti. Lors du spectacle du 30 avril, les organisateurs présenteront un compte rendu de cette initiative et des deux projets agricoles supportés par AKASAN.

Solidarity that works! Haiti concert promotes dignified partnership
OTTAWA – Building dignified partnerships with the people of Haiti is the goal of a benefit concert in Ottawa this coming Saturday night.
Ayiti Vivan 2011 will feature: Montreal-based veteran Haitian writer and storyteller Jean-Claude Martineau
(Koralen), progressive hip hop artists Vox Sambou of Nomadic Massive, EMRICAL, and media personality Maguy Métellus who will join a superb collection of Ottawa-based talents: Christophe Elie, Ferline Regis, Pazapa Dance School and Tanbou Lakay.
This year’s theme is “Konbit tout Ayisyen, tout jenerasyon, toupatou” (Solidarity without borders)
WHAT: “AYITI VIVAN 2011” benefit concert
WHEN: April 30, 2011, 7:00 PM
WHERE: Bronson Centre, 211 Bronson Avenue, Ottawa
All proceeds will go to projects funded by AKASAN, a Canadian-registered organization run by Haitians, for Haitians, that mobilizes resources to support Haitian capacity building initiatives in their homeland.
Tickets are $10 and available at various locations in Ottawa-Gatineau
A live webcast will be shown at www.livestream.com/akasantv
The inaugural Ayiti Vivan fundraising efforts conducted in 2010 covered the transport and delivery of relief material to Haiti by AKASAN, including a 20' container of wheelchairs and other mobility equipment collected by Humanitarian Mobility International destined to St-Croix Hospital, in Léogane, Haiti. At the April 30th event, organizers will report on this initiative as well as two ongoing agricultural projects that are supported by AKASAN.
