This has also been my conclusion.

Disturbingly, my April 2010 interview with Martelly's cousin and campaign supporter Richard Morse, who has maintained an unusually low profile on the Corbett list over recent months (during this last stretch of the "selection" fiasco), leads me to conclude that the family feuds within Haiti's predatory class never run too deep.

Please see: WHO IS RUNNING HAITI FOR WHOM ? - Jafrikayiti interviews Richard Morse (RAM) at The Oloffson Hotel, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Just as we witnessed André Apaid doing his best with his 2003-04 Caravan of Hope and Group 184 coup-financing machine to prepare the way for 2006 & 2010 presidential candidate & brother-in-law Charles Henri Baker; Richard Morse's 2009 highly visible activism denouncing "the families" or pointing out the misuse of government funds by the Preval government in favour of his alleged son-in-law Jude Celestin, was not at all disinterested. RAM was conveniently paving the way for his own "family", in the person of cousin and 2010 presidential candidate Michel Martelly.

Meanwhile the Manigats are enjoying the brand new "family car" provided to them by President Preval, in 2010, on account that former President Leslie François Manigat is well deserving of such perk due to services rendered to the nation during his brief stint on the militarily-secured presidential chair back in 1988. What is the real deal here? Why was Preval playing Santa so early in Tis the season for "families"? Yet, same Préval is still unable to produce a much cheaper diplomatic passport for his once-upon-a-time-twin who is kept in African exile, courtesy of the lesser of two Bushes.

Meanwhile, yesterday Bill was in Santo Domingo to calm down the 12 Haitian members of CIRH who seem to have suddenly discovered their status as "mere rubber stamping puppets" approving the juicy construction contracts that are all going to friends and families of Billary Clinton. C'est une affaire de familles, chers amis! It is all about family!

All families are families but not all families are allowed to celebrate this season.

For instance, the Haitian masses represented by the other members of RAM's band - the darker ones who live in Belair & Kafoufèy - are having no family celebration this season. In fact, their nights are tormented by the same old lament of Haiti's founding father: "And those whose fathers are in Africa, will they have nothing?".

Indeed, Fanmi Lavalas, pa ladan l!

Jeb Sprague wrote:

“Father Jean-Marie Vincent (who was killed by a coup death-squad on Aug. 28, 1994) accused Martelly of accompanying the Haitian police on deadly night-time raids to track down suspected Lavalas resistance leaders. "We have information that Michel Martelly has been traveling with death squads from the police when they go out at night to hunt and kill Lavalas leaders," Vincent told filmmaker Pina in a videotaped interview”.

Yet, in 2010, the masses are convened to drop their pants and dance with and for Martelly!?

Indeed, Sweet Mickey’s smile is as cynical as that of the barbaric European slave makers who used to order the Africans to dance to entertain them on dem slave ships.

Shall they dance in vain those whose father is in Africa?

Wanting to survive another day, the young men and women smile “irie-ivory" for the camera. We happy sir! We mighty happy and we dance for you Mister disaster tourist. Do you speak Creole? Please come, dance and sing with us: "ou wè dan m ou pa wè anndan m!" (you see my teeth, not what is boiling inside of me)

Amandla!
