The American economy under the leadership of President Obama

Listening to Governor Mitt Romney criticising the President is like listening to Satan criticising God.First of all, the President inherited an economy in a depression and two wars that cost billions of dollars evry day from President Bush.Secondly despite the stimulus package that saved the auto industry and the financial sector some of that money is not spent by the States to create jobs.

An example is the state of Florida where 4 billions dollars of the stimulus package is not spent.The Governor and the republicans in the State legislature refuse 2 billions dollars of that money to construct a railway for a high speed train that could reduce pollution, our dependance on foreign oil and create jobs for the Millions of Floridians who are out of work ; who are loosing their houses and who could not buy goods and services to stimulate the economy.

Another aspect of the economy that the republicans are criticising the President for is the budget deficit.How could the President reduce that deficit if the Republicans in congress refuse to cancel the taxe cuts for the Rich implemented under the Bush administration when the republicans control both houses of the Congress.The country is spending more for maintaining the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.The revenue of the federal government is decreasing because of the taxe cuts for the rich and the recession and they want to blame the President.

Governor Romney said in a recent speech talking about the President:"The economy is his;he failed the american people that is the reason that he will loose the election next year ."Is it true that the state of the economy is only the responsibility of the President of the United States. When the republicans in Congress and in the States are sabotaging the economy in order to prevent the president to be reelected;when the corporations are bathing in cash and they are not hiring the unemployed americans workers;when the CEOS of the big corporations are not only siphoning the profits of these corporation to maintain a luxurious life style by giving themeselves salaries and bonus they don't deserve instead of modernizing their companies. ;when they are outsourcing the jobs overseas where they can pay workers two dollars a day instead of keeping the jobs in the United States;when we're importing every goods we used from China ;when the construction industry is in a depression because people can not buy houses ; pay their mortgage and buy what they need;how could the unemployement rate be below 5%?

Maybe the american people will be naive enough to listen to the republicans next year ,but the fact is that President obama has nothing to do with the state of the american economy .On the contrary had he not taken the steps to help the financial sector and the auto industry ,the unemployement rate would have been worst.
