Some say, Martelly is Bill's "right hand man" in Haiti.

Did Bill Clinton really say he considers Martelly to be one of the most articulated leaders of Haiti, over the past 30 years?

If yes, what are the sources, media references for this or other statements? Could it be that he was misunderstood, misquoted, his words wrongly translated?

I have been in Haiti in December, the people seem to be very optimistic about the future.

Even if I have been opposing Martelly since the begining, the bald head dude seems to be doing a good job so far.

Alex Jacques, some money is circulating in the country and the Martelly team has invested heavily in public relations....but you cannot build a national road network, a health care system, an education system, an agricultural system, a nation on good propaganda - not even with the help of the best 'experts' in the art.

If you read what French writers were saying about Jean-Pierre Boyer around 1826, you would also think Haiti had never had such 'articulate' and 'visionary leader'. These folks are talking about their own interests. And, yes, when they find a leader who protects their socio-economic interest, they support him politically and help him find sources of funds - not big money to build national infrastructure - just enough to get an entourage rich, control the masses and maintain the status quo.

Miki is 'touskilfo' because he started out already compromised and vulnerable to blackmail. He is 100% dependable. That's the kind of 'leader' the empires like to have to deal with.

2 years after goudougoudou, billions of dollars collected in the name of Haiti are nowhere to be found. Over 7000 people killed by the U.N. brought cholera bacterium....500,000 living in the streets under makeshift tents....and every week, the president and a large entourage goes 'wine and cheesing' in private jet.....The carnival will help spread some money here and there and the trick is done. How long can the smoke screen work its magic?

The "hand" in question that Bill claims to have "given to Haiti" is that which he uses to dangle the puppet. In other words, ever so modest Bill is actually paying himself a subtle compliment by claiming his puppet to be the most "articulate" Haitian leader of the past 30 years. Indeed, only Bill knows what he is talking about!

Here is another quote that speaks to the high esteem Bill Clinton has for his "right hand man" in Haiti:

“Haiti has always needed someone to make a decision,” said Clinton. “This man will make a decision.”
