7 Haitians killed in storm

(CNN) — At least seven people in Haiti died in Tropical Storm Fay, government officials said Monday.

There were also concerns about 50 people who may be missing in a bus accident in the storm, but details were not immediately clear, officials said. Pinchinat Pierre-Louis with Haiti’s civil protection department said seven deaths were linked to the storm, and two people were missing.

Six houses were destroyed in the storm, and 38 were damaged, Pierre-Louis said, adding that 55 people stayed in shelters during the storm but have since returned to their homes.
