Oasis of the Seas' inaugural season expanded

Royal Caribbean has announced two additional sailings that will be operated by Oasis of the Seas, a new liner which the company describes as 'the world's most highly-anticipated cruise ship'.

The operator will launch a four-night voyage on 1 December 2009 to celebrate the opening of a new Royal Caribbean beach resort in Haiti, followed by a seven-night eastern Caribbean itinerary on 5 December.

On the four-night itinerary, guests will spend two days at sea and make a call at Labadee, Royal Caribbean's new resort, which will boast a range of facilities and excursion options.

The eastern Caribbean voyage will include calls at
St Thomas, St Maarten and Nassau in the Bahamas and will see guests receive a commemorative certificate to mark the occasion.

Customers who booked places on Oasis of the Seas' original maiden voyage on 12 December will be contacted and given the chance to move their trip to the new inaugural sailing date of 5 December.

Oasis of the Seas and its sister ship Allure of the Seas – to be launched in 2010 – are billed by Royal Caribbean as the world's largest and most revolutionary cruise liners, with 16 decks and capacity to carry 5,400 guests at double occupancy.
