Poème de Nathalie Handal, Haïtienne d'origine Palestinienne
Tonight
water will reach
the rim of the glass but will not
allow itself to leave the glass
violence will erupt and horrors
will tie themselves to
every bare tree
tonight we will hear speeches
that tell us to open our legs
to scandal like whores
tonight we will see
tattooed waistlines and kalashnikovs
in the back trunks of cars
paralyzed memories and
revolutions behind
every house door
we will see red landscapes,
stones of light, light feathers swaying
in the nightscape
and wrinkles will multiply
on our faces tonight as every
dead rises from its grave
tonight exiles, immigrants, refugees
will be caught in songbirds,
cracked asphalt will recite old memories
tonight we will listen to the cracks of narratives
the screams of those strangled
by the night at night
we will listen to the longing
of purple evenings
under god’s robe
tonight love will be difficult
and we will forget how to wipe the sweat
from my neck, breasts, words
water will reach
the rim of the glass but will not
allow itself to leave the glass
violence will erupt and horrors
will tie themselves to
every bare tree
tonight we will hear speeches
that tell us to open our legs
to scandal like whores

J'ai le poil tout herisse en lisant ce poeme, c'est un retour en arriere!
I will not say this poem is prophetic, as I was reading it I had flashback of time when the haitian people went through hell with those Chimeres.
This is an unexpected recurrence of the time of kidnapping and killing, the signs are there. I should warn the police in Haiti to think wisely as to what they should do with those Chimeres as there are no prison in Port-au-Prince right now.
Thank you T-Neg for sharing this poeme with us.

The Rapture
It's no longer a sign of the times, but a time of the SIGNS we see.
That's the crucial difference in my view of prophesy.
The book of Revelation was a puzzle in the past.
The pieces fit together NOW because we are the last.
There is no speculation for the world to carry on;
For some will soon awaken and yet others will be gone.
The Bible was provided as a guide to those who reason;
And believe as we are told, not of the time, but of the season.
Unbelievers make excuses for the things we all can see;
But the faithful have a Promise of the things that are to be.
We must NOW be watching every moment passing by;
For Jesus will be calling us to meet Him in the sky.
