Haiti President, Suspected Drug Trafficker Relationship Denounced by Deputy

It was discovered that, Thursday, as Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe was addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Haitian President Michel Martelly had not traveled to New York City as previously reported but instead spent the day and night at the home of his friend, suspected drug-trafficker Daniel Evinks who was arrested a week earlier for being in the possession of more than 2 dozen kilos of marijuana.
 
This information was given by the former President of the Chamber of Deputies, Deputy Sorel Jacinthe (Moron/Inite), on the sidelines of the September 30 nationwide manifestations.
 
Jacinthe denounced the fact that the Government Commissioner who had executed the arrest of Businessman Daniel Evinks, a close friend to the President, was revoked on Saturday, 48 hours after the Head of State spent the night at the hotelier's home.
 
Daniel Evinks was arrested for possession of two dozen kilos of marijuana that he claimed he found in the ocean while aboard his yacht. The case never was examined by justice as police released Evinx, less than 24 hours after his arrest, outside the orders of the Government Commissioner of Les Cayes.
It was learned that on Saturday, the Government Commissioner of Les Cayes was revoked.
