what the hell that has to do with jesse jackson? unless, his message is that jesse jackson the other black candidate won this heavily black state and did not go far. he has been trying to blacken obama so as to make a black candidate instead of what obama really is, that is a preidential candidate that happens to be black.
the comparison is dead-wrong because jesse jackson did not win iowa, did not come close to winning to new hampshire, and did not get one-fourth of the white votes in south carolina.

i am surprised at all with such statements. he has had no black person in any significant role in his administration.
in fact, george bush may even take some credit for obama's possibility. in fact, despite his war-mongering, president bush has many prominent blacks in his administration. the first two secretaries of state, the deputy attorney general in his first term, the deputy chairman of the federal reserves. also. bush legacy in africa is much better than that of bill clinton.
he gave more aid to africa than any other administration, he passed legislation to increase trade with africa, he helped form the first army command for africa called "africom"; and he also invited more african heads of state than any other president in american history.

when bill came to power, he somehow found a way to force colin powell to resign, he pulled the troops out of somalia, was no hesitant to send them in the balkans, and did nothing for rwanda.
i do not know what people meant when they say bill has been so great to blacks.
