let's help build a school for gifted children in haiti!!

we all are talking about adult literacy, school for handicaps, but nowhere do we advocate for an institution for the gifted; we have failed to realize that it is the gifted that come up with innovations, cures, solutions for problems; a country that does not recognize its genuises is a country that will always remain poor, and dependent.
why is it that our government does not even have one institution for the gifted? a school for the gifted is an investment for even the less gifted; for the gifted will bring innovations, and new methods that will dramatically improve the lives of the less gifted.
this should not be controversial; an elitist competitive and magnet school is not necessarily a repressive school; only your intellectual talent will determine entrance; and it does not mean either that the less gifted would be left out in the cold; it simply means that society has as much interest to invest in the gifted than it has to invest in the handicapped.
I personally would build and fund such a project if i had the money; because i do not see why do we have a ranch for future soccer players, but no such boarding school for the intellectually gifted children; hey, this is not important; after all for some people, it is more important to teach ninety-year-olds how to write their names than to help develop essential talents upon which future ninety-year olds would depend for their cures, and problems.
sometimes, the best thing for a country to do in order to progress is to challenge conventional thinking, and defy political correctness.
keep in mind that my proposal does not in any way advocate for indifference toward handicaps or mentally retarded children, but rather toward a more balanced approach by recognizing the extreme importance of intellectually gifted children that have been for so long neglected and miseducated in a system designed unintentionally for mediocre education.
