It is with great pleasure that I learned that the new CEO of Xerox Corporation is an african american woman born and raised in the project of New York city.Is it the beginning of the woman's era?Will President Obama appoint an african american or a spanish american woman to the Supreme Court of the United States next week?I do not know ;but what I am pleased with is his willingness to consider all candidates with an opened mind regardless of gender ,color or social origin .

I think the Obama's presidency will open many doors for the minorities as long as they are qualified. I think his performance during the campaign showed that given an opportunity the african american, man or women can perform as well ,if not better than any other ethnic groups.Now it is up to us to show our competency and skills.It is not because of affirmative action that we 're now in the white house ;it is because we're qualified to be there as any other ethnic group.I did not say race because this concept is obsolete;there is no such thing as a race or races on this earth.

To the young african americans and other minorities living in the United States there is no more excuses.We can no longer hide behind discrimination to behave as morons.The nomination of this woman to head one of the fortune five hundreds companies of the United States proves that if you are talented and competent the sky is the limit.Educate yourself,do not be discouraged by the people who think because you speak english properly you're a snob.This woman who is the new CEO of Xerox will not have reached this position if she were speaking the ghetto dialect that most young african americans speak nowadays.President Obama will not have ben admired by whites and blacks if he were saying: ain't that something, wazup, my nigger ,nikilè(lol)
