Media mogul to invest US$2.0 billion in Miches

The undeveloped coastline of Miches, just below Samana, hit the news after one of the World’s richest men, Venezualan born media mogul, Gustavo Cisneros announced that he will be constructing Tropicalia, a new tourist project with an investment of US$2.0 billion.

Adriana Cisneros de Griffin, Vice-President of the Cisneros organization announced the project at the monthly luncheon of the American Chamber of Commerce last week in the company of her father, Gustavo Cisneros and President Leonel Fernandez.
The Cisneros emphasized the environmental, social, and economic benefits that will be the result of a US$485 million investment in the first three years, of a total of US$2.0 billion when the project is completed in 20 years.

Adriana also said that Tropicalia is an effort to contribute to the development of the Dominican Republic within the parameters of a productive activity that proposes a systematic social content and complete respect for the environment.

She revealed that several programs of responsible social business have already begun in the community of Miches and she noted that Tropicalia will generate 3,000 jobs in the short term, 6,000 in the medium term and 14,000 in the long term.

Gustavo Cisneros, who also holds Spanish and Dominican citizenship, emphasized the necessity and commitment to invest in the communities in order to obtain social and economic development in these communities and invited Dominican businessmen to do the same.

He said that the strict adherence to social responsibility and the welfare of the communities are the principle sources of motivation and guidance that have sustained the activities of the Cisneros group.
In addition, he described the innumerable initiatives that the group has started to help students and teachers.

The president of the American Chamber of Commerce, Alejandro Peña Prieto, said yesterday that one of the most important responsibilities of any society is to invest in its human resources through education and in basic health services. He added that unfortunately the reality leaves much to be desired in the country. For the AmCham, the situation in which the national educational system is found today is of particularly preoccupation.

Une femme est allée faire de la navigation de plaisance. Elle a apporté des canettes de cola

qu’elle a placé dans le réfrigérateur du bateau.

Le lundi, elle a été transportée à l'hôpital et placée dans l'unité des soins intensifs.

Elle est morte le mercredi.

L'autopsie a conclu qu'elle est morte de la leptospirose.

Cela a été attribué à la canette de cola non lavée, et bu à même la canette.

Les tests ont démontré que la canette était contaminée par l'urine séchée de rats et ainsi avoir

permis l'apparition de la maladie "la Leptospirose".

L’urine de RAT contient des substances toxiques et

peut causer la mort.

Il est fortement recommandé de laver

toutes les canettes avant de boire à même le contenant.

Les canettes sont généralement stockées dans des entrepôts et transportées directement vers les magasins sans être nettoyées.

Une étude du NYCU a montré queles canettes sont plus contaminées que les toilettes publiques (c'est-à-dire), pleine de germes et de bactéries. Ainsi, les laver avec de l'eau avant de les mettre à la bouche pour éviter toute forme d'incident mortel.
